Breakfast with a view

If you want to start your day with a breathtaking view over London, you should go to Duck & Waffle for breakfast. From there, you can stroll through the City of London by foot, make a short stop at St. Paul's Cathedral, and then cross the Millennium Bridge.

Explore Bermondsey

Across the bridge you will find Bermondsey, a nice little neighborhood on the other side of the Thames. Visit the Tate Modern, walk through Borough Market and have lunch at one of the many food spots on Bermondsey High Street. After lunch, head to Oblix at The Shard for a drink while enjoying the amazing view.

Chelsea & South Kensington

Chelsea and South Kensington are the most beautiful districts in zone 1. Every Saturday there is the Chelsea Farmers Market, a must for all fresh food lovers. Just off Duke Square you will find the Saatchi Gallery, a contemporary art gallery that's always worth a visit. If you want to take a coffee break in between, the Bluebird Café in Chelsea is a good option, or head to Hyde Park for a small picnic.

For shopping you have endless possibilities in London. Fancy and cool boutiques can be found in the east - Shoreditch. Luxury brands can be found especially in Mayfair and Bond Street. The most well-known department stores are Harrods and Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge and Liberty close to Carnabie Street (which is also home to some smaller designer brands and heritage labels). Those looking for vintage treasures or antiques should make a detour to Notting Hill. There you can also find the famous Portobello Road Market.

Although England is not known for its cuisine, London offers a great selection of international restaurants for every taste. Our favorites are: Sushi Samba (great view), Pizza East (cool pizza spot), Dishoom Shoreditch (Indian), La Bodega Negra (Mexican), Yauatcha (Chinese), Koya (udon), Momos (Morrocan), Pachamama (Peruvian). Make sure to reserve in advance, especially during the weekend.

There are also many options for drinks, depending on where your dinner took place. In Shoreditch the Boundary Rooftop or the Shoreditch House are great spots. But there are also many hip bars around Shoreditch High Street. More central in Soho/Mayfair you can go to Sketch, a great location for drinks, but also  dinner.
